Women Empowerment

Women are the basis of families and communities where there are now many women leaders in all areas, such as economy, science, politics, industry and technology. In this sense, WFDP recognizes that paving the way for women to participate across all sectors is the basis for building a strong economy in communities. Thus, improving the quality of life of women is one of the major International Affairs agendas, as this would improve the quality of life of all parts of community.

WFDP’s principles of empowering women has been developed in conjunction with the United Nations Women’s Global Charter for Humanity and is available as a practical guideline on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community, both in the private and public sector. The principles have been designed to support existing companies in reviewing current policies and practices and to the benefit of new institutions as well.

In brief, the principles are:

1-         Advocate for gender equality through encouraging and supporting women to lead major companies.

2-        Ensure equal respect, non-discrimination and fair treatment of all employees at work.

3-        Ensure adequate medical care, safety and stability for all employees.

4          Improve the quality of education, training and professional development for women.

5-        Support equal rights initiatives throughout the community.
